I Just Want God

A Straight Road

I live my life everyday just like you all do. But what is it that makes my life different than the life of a person who doesn’t know Jesus? Is my life more valuable? Is my time better used? Everything we do outside of Christ is a waste. If we don’t live our lives for him, then we don’t have anything that is for sure. All we do without Christ will eventually be burnt up and lost forever, but all we do in Jesus Christ will last for eternity. I want to live for him, an only him. How do I get out of this pattern of living for the world? Read this post to hear more…

Finding My Identity in Jesus

Bible Tech

I have learned so much in the past few days of my life just taking all of who I am back to my roots and understanding who I am in Christ. Although I have identified myself through Jesus for the past couple of years, I still have a tendency to chase after things which will eventually do more harm than good. I have learned so much, and I want to share that with you. Read this post to hear it all!

John Piper Interviewed by Mark Driscoll

John Piper

Mark Driscoll interviewed John Piper. This was posted on The Resurgence’s website about a week or two ago. Last night I finally got the chance to listen to it, and it was great. I really learned a lot about Piper, and I learned a lot about what it takes to be in ministry, and some of the burdens that come along with it. He talked a lot about his marriage and it was this that I thought was particularly insightful. Being a young guy I always want to hear the details about a marriage that has lasted longer than ten years. To watch the interview and read more on the interview, read this post.

The Red Airplanes

The Red Airplanes

The Red Airplanes came to our church this last week, and they blew me away! I had never expected to enjoy listening to them this much. Their great combination of lyrics, folk music, indie music, and hard rock; creates a sound that is unique to all music I have listened to before. You know it is good when you can worship to it! To find out more about this band and their great performance read this post.
