You all read my blog... But no one is subscribing! I have added the ability to subscribe through your favorite RSS reader, or even through e-mail notifications.

So. It has been hardly a week since I have opened up this blog and changed the layout of The Fire of New Desire. Since then, I have only one person who has subscribed to my RSS feed for this blog, and I have lost about eight subscribers to The Fire of New Desire’s RSS feed. I know you don’t wan to be bugged to have click a simple link so you can either get my blog delivered to your RSS reader of choice or directly to your inbox every day. But, I am going to bug you anyway. Please subscribe, it lets me know that people are actually reading what I’m writing, and if you feel daring go ahead and leave some comments. I would love to talk to the people that visit my sites often.

So, if you want to subscribe to the RSS on this blog, look to the column in the right and click on the appropriate link, if you want to get e-mail updates do the same thing. And if you would like to subscribe to The Fire of New Desire please visit the page and click the appropriate link in the sidebar on the left hand side of the page.

….Thanks!

As of right now, I am sitting at school in the library, because I find it easier to do my homework here. But I am easily distracted, and I drank a lot of coffee earlier today, so I am thinking about some stuff. I began thinking, “Why do I blog?” I am going to answer that in this post, and hopefully give myself some answers as well as you. (Just in case you were wondering this very same question.)

I began my blog about six months ago. I began it too learn to write, because I am in college and I have never been the biggest fan of writing. So I figured by blogging my random thoughts I would be able to articulate better essays in my college classes. Soon after I began blogging I found an interest in writing about Christian issues which I deal with every day. So my blog quickly transformed from just randomness, to almost a sort of devotional reading type page, or an advice website.

But that is not exactly what I want, or see the point of my blog to be. I would like my blog to be a place I can openly speak about issues which I have with Christianity, but not to tell you how to live you life, but to simply get the wheels turning in your brain. Out of all the different blogs I read, my favorite ones are those which are full of conversation after the post. Not only do I want to write interesting, and bold posts, but I want to see how people react or feel about what I am saying.

So if you haven’t noticed there is a comment section at the end of each post. Please leave comments, ask questions, or even argue! This site is not just a porthole for me to speak my mind, but to hear how people feel about what I believe, and Christian issues in today’s culture.

Oh yeah. And just in case you were wondering, I now thoroughly enjoy writing, and my English classes here at school. I have changed my degree from Business Information Systems to Journalism. I hope to someday write books, or create documentaries. And honestly I think a lot of that came from the interest I found in blogging.
